From that moment on, you will receive tax notifications from the local tax authority in your area of residence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to obtain the European Union Citizen Registration Certificate?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For those in employment:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Valid identity document;<\/li><li>Declaration on honour of salaried employment or self-employment in Portugal;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>or<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Declaration on your honour that you have sufficient financial resources for yourself and the members of your household, as well as a document proving your health insurance. This health insurance will be necessary, if this is reciprocally required of Portuguese citizens in your country of origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For retirees :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Valid identity document;<\/li><li>Declaration on your honour that you have sufficient financial resources for yourself and the members of your household, as well as a document proving your health insurance.
